Flat Sharing – The Important Question

Published by Author in category General | Leave a Comment

Sharing of apartment or house with other people can be in the big way to make new best friends, but there is also a possibility that there is a full collision of individuality or a way of life, with arguments on something from noise before who has eaten your last plate of bread!

Here are some issues to help you to solve whether you wish to share with others or rent the flat: If you divide with others, you usually pay less rent than to live alone.

The divided means of service, kitchen or bathroom type in general are more than in one adaptation of a bedroom. Heating and accounts on the electric power are usually cheaper when they are divided among several persons. However there is a danger that one flatmate causes expensive accounts (for phone or, constantly having put on heating). If you feel lonely residing one then you could enjoy the company of flatmates. However remember that while some flatmates divide all together (the parties, food times, leaving …) the others live very lonley lives and just see each other meeting on the kitchen. Flat division means few privacy than residing alone.
Flatmates do not always want the same things as you (think arguments of what television program to observe, whether to have reception of visitors or not, how much pure the divided rooms are and so on) and are not always going to want. It is important to divide with people with whom you will succeed well. Try to meet your new flatmates before the decision to come nearer.
Your best friend does not always do good flatmate. Actually, division with assistants can mean the friendship end: think carefully of your way of life of friends (when it arrives to respect of your privacy, clearing, problems of money and visiting of parties) before the decision to live with them.

Make sure that everyone who lives in your apartment has signed the contract or the lease agreement. Otherwise you could find yourselves responsible for paying someone’s accounts and to rent, if they do the runner!

Questions to think before division of apartment with others: When and how is the sum of rent paid? Does every sharing person give his/her individually to the owner or does one of you have the general rent and make sure that it is paid in time? What happens, whether one person is late always with the rented money or the worst again he/she does not pay? If one flatmate leaves, who should pay their share of a rent? (Check up it with the owner before approach). Do you smoke, receive the visitors or resolve pets? Are there any rules about visitors? What happens, whether the boyfriend/girlfriend of one flatmate spends all their time in your apartment or if someone has the friend sleeping on your sofa within month? Is there a phone who is responsible for it and how should the account be shattered?
